As Magic’s first foray into another universe, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is a very unique thematic set. They start outside the game and are played in. They are actual cards, but they don’t go in your deck. Dungeons are like Planes and Conspiracies during the game. They do not have a Magic back, and they don't get shuffled into or drawn from your library. It is only seen on nontraditional Magic cards. It's essentially introducing a sub-game to a standard Magic: The Gathering experience, and Adventures in the Forgotten Realms really does seem to embrace and deliver on the concept of bringing a Dungeons & Dragons session into MTG. Dungeons have winding paths, so there are different options in every room that effect the game state. Venture essentially sees players choose a Dungeon from three different options outside the game, then begin tracking progress through said dungeon as they continue to use the Venture mechanic.
